I've been playing in my Doodle book that Izzy gave me for Christmas and it definitely gets the creative juices flowing! I doodled this in my art journal tonight.

I tried a recipe on Pinterest today....whipped eggs and cheddar cheese wrapped in bacon in a muffin tin. They turned out yummy. Next time, I'll put half the amount of egg in though so the bacon has a chance to crisp up a bit more.

Whitney and I attended a workshop today on how to deal with difficult clients. It was really good. She surprised me with some delicious homemade lemon cookies and my favourite dish towels that she knitted herself. Thanks Whit!

These yellow mums reminded me of how cheerful and bright my mom was so I picked them up on my way home from the hospice today. They sit on my kitchen table.

We had our dear friends Lizzy and Evan over with their girls for a New Year's dinner. Emily designed the whole menu, butter chicken over brown rice and chocolate dipped strawberries for dessert. It was great!

Sad day today. Several of us gathered to remember a beautiful life and to honour and support the lovely family she has left behind. You were far too young to leave this earth. Rest peacefully Lalaine.

We started our year off with friends. DH cooked a fabulous BBQ chicken and ribs dinner and we had Joe, Carrie-Ann and Georgia over for a visit after the girls sleep over last night at Joe's. The girls decided to have another sleep over, this time at our house. Here's a picture of them enjoying some Menchies and watching a movie on the laptop in Emily's room.

Welcome 2013!

Well, I ended 2012 purging and cleaning my house. Out with the old and in with the new! I feel lighter, motivated and ready to tackle a new year. My studio looks fabulous and I have so much more room to create and feel inspired! I'll be taking on Project Life this year and plan to take a photo a day for the entire year.
